Water and Sewer Service Tap Charge Policy #1, effective November 20, 2024, as revised by resolution of the Lewisburg Water and Wastewater Board.
Water Service Tap Fees
All water taps have a capacity fee. Developer-installed water taps cost $1,000.00 plus a $2,000.00 capacity fee, for a total of $3,000.00.
| Tap size | Cost | Capacity fee | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.75″ | $3,000 | $2,000 | $5,000 |
| 1″ | $4,000 | $4,000 | $8,000 |
| 2″* | $6,000 | $12,000 | $18,000 |
| 4″* | $10,000 | $25,000 | $35,000 |
| 6″* | $14,000 | $50,000 | $64,000 |
| 8″* | $15,000 | $75,000 | $90,000 |
| 10″* | $18,000 | $100,000 | $118,000 |
| 12″* | $20,000 | $125,000 | $145,000 |
*Should the cost of the tap installation exceed the tap fee, the additional cost will be paid by the customer. Capacity fees paid are not affected by tap cost overages.
Yard Meters
A customer who has residential service may obtain an additional yard meter for watering and irrigation. This meter must be used for watering only and must not feed back into the sewer system — it will not incur sewer fees. This meter requires installation of a backflow prevention device, paid for by the customer and tested annually at the customer’s expense.
- 3/4″ residential yard tap: $2,000.00 + $2,000.00 capacity fee = $4,000.00
- 1″ residential yard tap: $4,000.00 + $2,000.00 capacity fee = $6,000.00
Sewer Service Tap Fees
Developer-installed sewer taps cost $1,000.00. The 4″ sewer residential service tap fee is $2,400.00. Large sewer taps are priced on a case-by-case basis by office staff.
